How to use psychedelic drugs
1)
Don't use anything to escape reality and surpress your feelings. Not work, not sports, not religion, not television, not food and not drugs.
A lot of drugs have their function in surpressing emotion and lowering consciousness. These drugs are of no interest to the alchemist
2)
For an alchemist drugs are sacred substances. Use them with respect. Never take them for granted; don't make a meaningless habit of the sacred.
When you use psychedelic drugs, even if you smoke some weed, be aware of the power and celebrate the moment.
3)
Most people who do not use their drugs to escape, use them for having a good time. Having a good time is not the goal of an Alchemist.
But funny enough, although its not the goal, it seems to be the way.
In the proces of both internal and external alchemy, having a great time usely indicates that you're on the right track.
Alchemy often leads along a mysterious and unclear path. There's however one clear advise about which direction to go: Follow the bliss!
Outer alchemy is the way of superior virtue. Traditionaly this term is reserved for the rare and lucky bastards that have kept their Te pure and precelestial form their birth onwards. With psychedelics we can all be such a lucky bastard. Returning to the precelestial state goes without effort. The less effort the better. That is the way of superior virtue. The only problem is that it doesn't last.
