What the F* is TAO?
The Tao that can be expressed
is not the eternal Tao
The name that can be named
is not the eternal name
(first line of the first verse of the daodejing)
Lots of people have tried to describe what Tao is, although they knew it's impossible to grasp the mystery with words
I'm one of them
Tao is the Way. It's also the beginning and the end.
In three-dimensional thinking it would be a circle.
Tao is the mystery and the plain truth you see right before your eyes.
Tao is the laws of physics that built the universe.
Tao is those laws before the beginning of time and space.
Tao is the wonder that the laws of physics are exactly as they are, while with every difference the universe would not have existed.
Tao is the open end passed the borders of the universe , where our brains capitulate to conceive its magnitude
Tao is the open end of the infinitly small world where the bizar rules of kwantumphysics point out that there's more to ordinary spacetime.
Tao is the natural way. It's about the universe
Tao is the natural way. It's about man.
Tao is all pervading and vague.
Tao is here and now. It's clear and personal.
Tao guides the stars and it can also guide you.
Tao is not a God. Taoism is about reuniting yourself with the Tao. Taoism is a godless religion. God is the divine becoming personal to meet man. Taoism is about man becoming apersonal to meet the divine.
Where Tao is inside, it's called Te. Te is the inner force
It is said that magic happens when the innerworld exactly equals the outer world, both seamlessly glued together with no distinction left between them. Than by changing the inner world you can change the outer world. But the sage whose inner world equals the outer world, knows the world doens't need his changing.
Magic happens when your Te equals Tao. With no distinction between yourself and the cosmos, you are no longer bound to our dimension.
