tao posture:
Buddhists meditate in Lotus position.
This way they can relax while the posture keeps them from falling asleep.
Taoalchemy says: don't get up so early!
Tao is the natural way.
when you are tired, you sleep,
when you want to go somewhere, you walk,
when you want to go somewhere fast, you run,
when you eat and drink, sit , so your upper body is upright and gravity guides food and drinks downwards
when you relax, you do nothing (this is called meditation), you hang loose or find some other nice posture.
In the taoist classics, like Zhang Zi, laying down on an armsupport is the way to describe meditation.
In alchemy inside is always outside.
Being relaxed is not just a comfortable side effect.
It´s crucial.
just being cool is not enough.
your body and mind have to be without any tension, without any anticipation.
Like a baby, that´s floppy and week and cries its heart out when it feels like it. Without getting hoarse.
This totally loose way of relaxing and being nowhere else than in this moment is called Shoong.
When you want to start alchemical work you´ve got to try being Shoong as much as you can.
